Cold in Summer

I don't have hayfever and I am not really allergic to anything, that I know of. So why oh why do I have a cold in SUMMER?! I mean it shouldn't be called a cold if it's not even brought on by the cold. Being cold probably doesn't probably help when trying NOT to get a cold. It should be called by its proper term, 'viral infection' or otherwise known as 'stupidly-annoying-inconvenient-viral-infection'. Because, let's face it, there has never been a time I can remember that a cold (aka viral infection) has ever been convenient.

It's not so bad today though. I think I've passed my germs on to my sisters, my collegues at work and my boyfriend, so maybe the viral infection will think I've shared my germs enough and will go away! :)

Hm, the idea of moving into my own place still hasn't dawned on me yet... but I'm sure it will; after everyone leaves at the end of the weekend. Me does love my house though. I'll definitely post pictures! Before it's homely and a few months down the line, like christmas time.... where hopefully it'll be really homely.

I have no fashion sense at the moment as I am living out of boxes. I had a fun weekend at Adam's it was brill (as he put it). We enjoyed a lovely evening BBQ celebration for him and his brothers birthday and we set off some chinese laterns AARRGGHH!! So cool. Then, Saturday, we went into Durham. But I shall be posting pictures when I remember to get some off Adam. :)

Hi Ho Hi Ho It's Off To...

... Newcastle I go! Tomorrow I mean :)

::WARNING RAMBLE POST::

I'm there over the weekend for Adam and James' birthday. I really need to get a train pass, I get 3rd off any travel because I am aged 16-25. I keep saying I'll get one and then something else comes up on the list that needs paying for first. :)

I'm trying to kick-start a healthier eating thing. This morning I had lots of fruit for breakfast, and then my sisters brought me a surprise lunch, McDonalds. This evening I got home to some lovely healthy fish and parsley sauce. Am I the only one who can quite happily sit there and dunk potatoes into lots of parsley sauce? It is most definitely would you like some food with your parsley sauce! Then later on we went for a chat and a giggle with the lovely ladies from Relief Society and we had snacks there... Galaxy and Mars snack bars... So I think healthier eating for today was BIG FAIL! And I ate after 7pm. I won't even think about tomorrow.

Do you ever find that you seem to have the two same things constantly on your mind? Mine is weight and money and money and weight. Fun fun. I just realised, the 'i-before-e-except-after-c' rule doesn't apply to weight either. In fact why is that a rule? It should just be the 'write-what-looks-right' rule. I think that sounds better too.

I've been talking to Hazel from church about my moving day and so far I have two vans, lots of pairs of hands, lots of furniture thanks to a few wonderful people, and no keys or house, until 30th.

Oh and nothing is packed.

Easier Than It Looks

I decided today that for a whole 10 seconds I would dislike my driving instructor! Only because I could see the method in his somewhat crazy madness... and he nearly broke the door on his AA driving car! And I thought I was supposed to be the one to break the car... tut tut.

The reason for my disliking is this, it has taken me 4-5 weeks to perfect my reversing around a corner, bearing in mind people I only had 1 hour a week for a lesson and I don't have anyone to practice with in between, and then he gets me to do parallel parking.

The easiest manouver in driving I've done so far... and I've done a three point turn, reversing around a corner and now parallel parking. When he explained it to me he said it sounds harder than it is... and really it is easier than it looks. The only thing you need to remember to do is get the steering right once you're at 45 degree angle to the pavement and swinging the car round once your wheel is near enough, but seriously?! I was well annoyed haha because I wanted to do the easier stuff first, but that's why I was only annoyed for 10 seconds because hey! I can reverse around a corner now and parallel parking is easy... now just onto reversing into a parking space... Let the fun begin. He also tried to break something else in the car, maybe my instructor should get some extra insurance!

So, yeah, parallel parking... in the bag. :)

Today I Went to Bubble Bath!

I had an abfab day (absolutely fabulous) for those of you who don't know what that means.

I woke up early to the sign of sunshine through my window. Dad and Gayle said it'd be great to go to Bath and who was I to moan? Gayle has never been to Bath before so it was great to show her around. It was nice to back there again only just a little odd because minor things had changed but it still feels like home. It's so beautiful there. We went to Wetherspoon's where I used to work for lunch and then journeyed up to the Royal Crescent and the Circus which Gayle found really beautiful. We were going to go into the Roman Baths but it was like £12.00!!! The last time I went there it was £8.00 and before that, I was a resident, it was free.

Then to top off the day we went to go see my lovely friende Cecily and her beautiful little boy Hunter. I have no idea why but at first I was so scared of dropping him and getting my arm under his head, I totally believe it's because I had him leaning on the wrong arm. He is gorgeous with his cute little face and tiny hands and feet. I gave him back to mummy then I had another go, that time though, he was full and a little sleepy. So he went to sleep on me, which was really really cute. He kept yawning too. He's definitely got the major CUTE-FACTOR! 1,000,000 points to Cecily and Andy for creating a cutey!

But just to top off an awesome day I seem to be getting a bad throat. Hopefully it's just because of the warm husky weather! I shall post fashionista things tomorrow.

To the End of the Earth and Back Again

I travelled today, from Bradford to Aberdare. I took two buses, 2 trains and 1 car ride. It was very warm and very sticky. Urgh, my two favourite combinations of weather. I've come down to Wales for the week for my week off. I leave Bradford at 28degrees and end up in Aberdare at 16 degrees. Not cold, but not Bradford haha.

I finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray. It certainly doesn't end like the modern film Dorian Gray, but it does end with a certain tragic sadness too it. I didn't realise what happened in the end especially when he doesn't realise it is going to happen. I guess that is what happens when you sell your soul to the devil.

Short post tonight because I can't think of anything eventful from my day and because I am tired. My dad and Gayle, his girlfriend, have been telling me the do's and don't's of driving, and now we're watching Traffic Cops.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

One of my favourite sayings right now. Sorry about not posting. I was away from my laptop for the weekend but I've decided that I really should take this brick everywhere with me. Either that or just get a smaller one specifically for ceremonious blogging.

I was in Newcastle. Or rather in my head, Newscastle. Adam'll probably hate me for saying that but ah well. I had a lovely weekend. I got to Newcastle about 20:00 on Friday and then we went to the cinema to see Bad Teacher. It was funny, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's too provocative and there are SO MANY sexual innuendos it's not even funny, and I kinda draw the line at seeing a massive pair of breasts on the cinema screen, massive because they filled up the screen... there was nothing other them, they were completely nude. They were on the screen for so long it was kinda shifting into the awkward whispering looking away stage. But, apart from that, it was funny. Nothing on my list to see though for now.

Little tip, they're showing all the Harry Potter's in the run up to the new film coming out, at Cineworld and Odeon so you should go down and see them all on the big screen before the mega finale.

Saturday I went to Adam's stake athletics on Saturday and I think his ward came 3rd, which wasn't so bad and Emily's ward came 4th. It was quite funny routing for two different wards but ah well I got the benefits of both worlds. Adam worked hard in all the events he took part in and I scarpered off to help the stake primary with some kid's athletics, old school style. I'm talking obstacle course and bean bag throwing races. It was tonnes of fun though and their primary didn't even know me but didn't care they were still lovely. We topped the day off classic style by watching Cool Runnings.

Today was good. Nothing majorly major happened. We went to church and Adam's ward is lovely. People have seen me there a couple of times now so they're not so shy to come up to me anymore. Weird thing is, they sing quieter than my ward and my ward is like half, maybe even quarter of the size, they're really nice though.

This evening a reversing car nearly tried to run me over, stupid man. I think Emily was trying to do some hero thing and push me out of the way, but all was well. Another car beeped his horn and realise we were there. Moral of that story is:

1. You can't stop a reversing car by banging on the back of it with your hand (which consquently hurts your wrist)
2. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check your blind spots before you move off ANYWHERE when driving. Stupid drivers.

Have a good week everyone. I hate it when weekends go this quickly!

Five Fabulously Fun Days

I've been a terrible poster the last few days or so.

I blame it on being in Newcastle and Sunderland. I think I'm allergic to desk tops, or rather desktops that aren't mine (I'm fine using the desktop at work). I was going to post when I was up in the northern lands but I just didn't get round to it Thursday, Friday, Saturday... Oops. Apologies. I had an awesome time up in Newcastle and Sunderland though, and they are two new places I've been this year (about time my list got longer, it's been looking a bit shabby recently).

I've been relaying my five fabulously fun days to my mum and kept getting things mixed up in my brain but hopefully I'll remember stuff correctly on here; plus I have pictures to back up my brain. I never realised how handy it is to have a camera on your phone until I got the iPhone (all the cameras on my phones before this one have been poor so I haven't used them). But with the iPhone the pictures are just the right size for blogging with.

1. Travelling, Quizzing, Watching, Laughing, Sleeping
2. Walking, Picnicing, Shopping, Restauranting, Dancing
3. Lazying, Wandering, Day-Dreaming, Munching, Gawping
4. Chilling, Tubing, Following, Strutting, Collapsing
5. Singing, Chatting, Listening, Praying, Sharing

Busy 5 days if I must say so myself. I'm just glad I got some photographic proof of how much fun we had!

Wednesday I was travelling all the way up from Bradford to Newcastle. Adam picked me up and we went to meet his parents who were quizzing in the pub (I think it's a family tradition). One of the questions was something like 'Name top ten items in a woman's handbag' and apparently 'Phone' wasn't on it?? I mean what kind of joke is that?! Then we went watching a film it was 'The Hangover 1' which we were obviously laughing at, I was so tired so the best thing to do was to start sleeeping.

Thursday was fun. It was a beautiful day so we went walking up Penshaw Monument (I think that's what it is called). I got some cute pics of Adam and I up there but the steps were like a mountain to climb. His mum made us a gorgeous picnic so we went picnicing in style at Herrington Park, which is huge! Then we kinda went shopping, can't remember what we bought. We went restuaranting in Frankie and Benny's with one of Adam's friends, Lauren. I decided it'd be a good idea to go to the beach where we were dancing between the water and the sand. It was tons of fun.

Friday, Adam was at work and Emily had gone to uni so I was lazying around in bed for half the day and was left to wandering around Sunderland by myself until Emily'd finished uni. I found a good cafe called 'Esquires' and sat day-dreaming about life and random things in general that whiz around a woman's mind all day. Then Emily came to meet me and we went shopping. When Adam finished work I made a meal and we sat munching until we were ready to go out again. Adam got some vouchers for being a long-term employee and so we set off to him spending them, cut to me gawping at the gigantic size of The Metro Centre in Newcastle; biggest shopping centre in Europe, I mean there are like 4 'malls' in there. Crazy.

Saturday, Emily and I were chilling out in bed until about 1pm. We decided to go tubing to Newcastle, well it's the Metro but we went underground like the London tube. I ended up following Emily everywhere because I had no idea where to go, I was also following her around because she was trying to look for a shop which we didn't find it until we were on our way out of Newcastle haha. We went into Next and were strutting around in different pairs of heels that we couldn't afford even though they looked nice. After a long hard day of doing nothing we sat collapsing in a heap on Adam's parents gorgeous sofa.

Sunday, I went to church with Adam and I was singing hymns that for some reason I really haven't heard of before, I think through the whole service I knew 1 song. I got chatting to a really nice girl called Beth who knows Emily. Then I sat listening to Relief Society teacher (it was weird being in Relief Society) and listening to the beautiful Testimony's given in the Sacrament meeting where everyone was sharing what they loved about the gospel. Then when I got home I sat praying that Emily and Adam would get home okay, once I realised they'd stopped at a services on the way back because Adam was so tired. Really dangerous!

Sorry it's so long it just makes up for the past few days that I've missed.

Women's Wedges Wonder Woman!

Hmmm.

I am shopped out. But, I had a good shoe shop. Luckily today I started work early which meant I finished early, which meant I could go shopping. YAY! Which is weird. I'm not actually really one for clothes shopping. At least, I didn't think I was. I can't afford to shop anyway, only on a budget.

But today, my eyes were on the prize. Wedges! And what better place to go for shopping, in the middle of the afternoon when you live in Bradford and you have a bus pass... The White Rose Shopping Centre. For a few reasons really:

1. Bethany has never been there before... like ohh...emmm...duuurrr.
2. There are like, LOADS of clothes shops in there
3. It's obviously nicer than Bradford and more compact than Leeds.

One thing Bethany did mention about shopping for shoes was the fact that we could go into ANY shop that sold women's clothes & accessories and look at shoes. Usually we avoid topshop (we're not skinny rakes) and places like River Island etc.. but because we were shopping for shoes it didn't matter what size the clothes were because I was always going to be a size 6 and Bethany is always going to be a size 7/8 (She has weird feet). We started in Debenhams and I think we finished in River Island.

One word of warning for anyone buying shoes from Oasis in The White Rose and you DON'T have or want a store card... run. Run away now. Before you try and get accostered by the oh so lovely sales people in there. I am sure she meant well, like the shoes/wedges I tried on were gorgeous and I was so close to spending way more than I should on them but she kept pushing the stupid store card on me, which I was clearly trying to be nice about and said 'no', 'I'd just lose it' etc, I said all the excuses I could come up with, but she just wouldn't shut up. I mean she said "I'll just put these to one side for you to come back for later" uhm... if I had wanted to save them for later, I'd have asked you? I didn't say that to her though. Like I said, I'm sure she was a nice girl, but she was just being too pushy.

And I hate pushy.

I went for cream today and blue, I loved some blue ones in who knows what shop now, I think it was NewLook, who let me down in the shoe department today; it's not even half the size of the shoe area in Bradford, but I was generally going for cream. I eventually bought some from Garage that looked a lot like the ones I was going to buy from Oasis, only the ones in Garage were about £35 cheaper...

Then we meandered into Primark, accidentally. It's my fault, because I saw some jewellery I really liked and went and bought it and Bethany decided to wander upstairs so I followed. There's a lot of shoes in there. She tried some on, I tried some on. Then I bought... another pair. These ones are lower though, the wedges are quite high (for me), so they can be like my cool down pair for when I'm too tired of wearing the higher ones, they are brown.

When we got home, I tried them on with at least 4/5 outfits in my wardrobe, sad I know, but I just wanted to make sure they were right, and they look pretty nice, so I'm glad of my choices today.

Hope everyone is getting used to being back at work since the long weekend. Let me know what you think of my shoes.

Living Life Luxuriously

I 'may' not have posted for a couple of days... Sincerest apologies. Thursday I completely forgot. I think I opened Blogspot to post and then got distracted knowing me.

Last night I was in NEWCASTLE! Contrary to what I originally thought I haven't actually been to Newcastle before. Lol I have been to Teeside University though... which is in Sunderland. I have no idea how I got either of those mixed up because they are clearly not the same place (Which my boyfriend would be pleased to know that I've realised). This brings me to the reason I went to Newcastle! To see Adam, and his brother, James, (who is his twin but they're not identical) and his brother's girlfriend, Monica, AND their 5 month old son... Who luckily didn't cry at me when I walked through the door, that is probably because he was asleep but this morning not a peep out of him :D I was well impressed!

Newcastle, is big. I actually saw the Angel of the North, and some other monument thing that Adam was explaining to me about but then we got side-tracked so he said I should look it up online, but I think I may have to ask him what it's actually called again!

We went to the Temple grounds today. It was beautiful. Adam seemed to know everybody we came across! It was peaceful and calm and we took lots of pictures. It was a really nice couple of days. Weirdest thing though was, as we were coming out of the ever-so-popular Fayre & Square pub across from the Temple after lunch, we saw a car pulled up at the side of the road and a guy had run into the pub as we were coming out... We didn't realise what for until we saw the car on fire at the engine and a guy running towards it with an extinguisher... which thinking back on it probably wasn't a very safe thing to do at all. But it made an exciting 5 minutes.

This evening, Adam and I went to Frankie & Benny's then off to the cinema to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (I think). It was all brilliant. Frankie & Bennys was delicious. I had a sticky toffee pudding which I couldn't eat all of, so I gave to Adam, it was SO YUMMY though. The film was awesome. There was just the right amount of everything to make it flow really well... except for the love story between the missionary and the mermaid, that was a bit uhm, redundant. But, apart from that it was all brilliant. Great company too.

I do feel a bit sorry for Adam today though he's travelled miles bless him and his poor car. Newcastle - Sunderland - Chorley/Temple - Bradford - Newcastle. :O

EverLater - iPhone Journey App.

I don't know if you can get this application on the Blackberry or anything like that but I do know it's a definite yes for the iPhone. I've no idea how many people actually use it but it's a really awesome application for those of you with iPhones and those of you who like to travel a lot. You open the 'Everlater' app and it asks you whether you want to learn more about it or whether you want to 'Start a Trip'. I found this application when I was on my way to visiting my sister last month in Sunderland so I clicked 'Start a Trip'. It asks you what you want to call your trip, so ever the great imagination I chose 'Bradford - Sunderland', it asks you to add a city/country of destination and how long you will be staying at that particular place for and you press 'Create'.

Once you've done that it asks you to add an item and this is where it gets interesting. It has 8 different 'items' you can choose from, Story, Photo, Thought, Food, Lodging, Activity, Tip and Transport. Once you click on one of these items you fill in the self-explanatory information necessary to develop your trip. It can be anything from a tiny comment to a paragraph. I love that you can add photos because people can see where you have been and they can attach words to a picture; which brings me to the next great thing about Everlater.

Side Note: I've just looked on the everlater website, the app is available for iPhone, Blackberry and Android.

You can upload your journeys to their website. I thought this was going to be a little tricky but it is actually very easy. It told me on the phone that I'd have to upload my Trip from my iPhone app to the internet whilst my phone is connected to the PC. I was a bit confused at first, but you go onto the Everlater website (with a login account of course) and it explains what you need to do from there. There is a clear indicator on the phone app called 'Sync & Share' so you just press that, and it pretty much does it from there. You can obviously share your trip with friends and family. You can either put a password on the trip so only those you send the password can see it; which I think is brilliant.

I mean, the only down-side to this application is that I don't have enough amazing and interesting places to go that would let me benefit from using the Everlater app but I always keep it on my phone handy just incase I venture somewhere. So for those of you who travel around a bit, and have an iPhone, Blackberry or Android please get the Everlater app.

Maybe it'll spur me on to go on some more interesting trips.

All's Fair in Love and War

My 'o' keeps going dodgy so I will do my best!

I know I said I was going to go wandering today but I just got out of bed and needed to clean my room. I mean it was getting to the point where I had to make a path between the washing to get downstairs, almost like a rescue operation. Plus I was in a very cleaning mood; doesn't mean my other chores are done... but one at a time ay?

I moved my bed around so now I can do starjumps in my bedroom and dance around like an idiot when nobody is looking. I didn't tell you all what my secret was well!! I have a boyfriend woo! We went on a date yesterday and it wasn't very hush hush or anything I just wanted to make sure it was right, and he's lovely bless him, and he's called Adam.

So, no travelling today but next Saturday I am going to Brimham Rocks in/near York. I've never been there before even though mum says I have but pictures don't ring a bell, so I'm not sure; but it'll be excellent me thinks. I travelled very spontaneously to Asda today. I wasn't going to but I had a craving for doughnuts, I blame it on my mum's freshly made bread; it smelt gorgeous but I haven't tasted it yet. I am sure I shall demolish a few pieces tomorrow. But for the rest of tonight I am cutting out paper hands for my lesson and reading my Book of Mormon.

Don't you think it's strange that at one minute we can be at one another's throats then the next some commonality will pull us together. Like Britain for example, yeah not everyone gets on and not everyone will live by 'Love thy neighbour' but when the Royal Wedding was on thousands of people flocked to London from across Britain, and Europe just to see it. Everyone was just talking to everyone and all reporters and spectators said the atmosphere was amazing.

Just like Europe could be at annoyances with one another, yet every year we have this ridiculous Eurovision thing that Britain never wins, but nobody ever seems to care because every year we still get back out there and do it all over again. It's just nice sometimes to not argue, and find that one thing that you all have in common.

From A to B to Z!

Oh dear I'm not doing very well on my travel list so far I've got:

1. Sunderland

So I think this Saturday I'll wander off somewhere... if I have tidied my room by then! I am sure there are some pretty places in West Yorkshire hiding between all the not-so-pretty places, and I am determined to find them.

I was going to do A-Z, but with a lack of places beginning 'Z' I might just go from the left of West Yorkshire to the right, but we'll see. It's on my to do list anyway. When I was at uni I would visit new places all the time and I think in 1 year I visited like 10 different places but now I just don't know the people. It's not that I don't want to go to new places I just think 'I can do it another day' but this weekend that's what I'll do. I'll venture, on a bus pass and a packed lunch; oh and my camera.

I am hoping to go to Rome again sometime in the near future because it was beautiful there. I love old cities. I was actually thinking of Barcelona too, so who knows, I might go there instead. My aim is to visit the whole of Europe eventually barring maybe a couple of countries, but only because I've been there before.

I just like finding the extra-ordinary and quirky in the ordinary and boring. So sorry my dears, but I'll be posting another travel post on Saturday. And I have a secret, and I'd love to tell you all what it is but *shhhh* I can HOPEFULLY tell you all tomorrow. But it's very exciting :D Or I may have to wait to tell you until next week. BUT EXCITING TIMES!! :D

Can I just say, I love blessings blessings blessings! My mum thinks I am nuts sometimes when I coming running through the house singing 'Blessings, blessings, blessings' but I love having days like that.

So-Long Sunderland Saturday

Bethany and I left Sunderland today and travelled the few hours back to Bradford; back to reality.

We've had a really nice time at Emily's this week and I am so glad the weather held out for us... all week!

Tuesday we arrived quite late in the evening dumping all our things in the bedroom and pretty much falling straight asleep, tell me, why is travelling so tiring?

Wednesday we got up pretty late but enjoyed the afternoon sunshine by the glass center where emily studies her degree.

Thursday we went to the beach of course where the sun was shining but the sea was lashing back nippy winds but we still managed it.

Friday we watched the Royal Wedding; went into town so Emily could shop a little and I tried on some tan coloured trousers... the colour looked good but the shape was alll wrong.

Saturday (today) we went into town and Emily bought some amazing heels from garage, I bought some dark brown jeans, cream pumps and a gold necklace. I'm not usually one for gold jewellery but apparently it goes with my skin and hair tones, we'll see.

This post isn't going to be too long today because I am just sooo tired from travelling, and we didn't even travel that far.

Extra note to all those travelling to Middlesborough from Sunderland, I'm sorry your train got cancelled; I mean whose cleve idea was it to steal train cables anyway??

Since this is Saturday and I ususally do my travel posts on Saturday I would like to add one place to my list of places visited from Apr 2011- Apr 2012 and that is:

1. Sunderland

Okay so the list isn't long but I'll work on it. Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

: Pictures Pending :

These are the shoes Emily bought.

T-shirt Thursday

Hey all,

Bethany told me I should title my post today 'Tuna Pasta Bake Thursday' but I'm not going to, mainly because it sounds weird. Today was really good. I accidentally stayed up until 5 o'clock in the morning my eyes fixated on a book Bethany told me I had to bring with me over this holiday called 'The Kommandants Girl' set in Nazi Germany. I was completely hooked. I was on Chapter 20 when I decided I should probably sleep. Don't you just love it when you get so involved in a book you can't bare to turn your attention away; there's something so great about leaving the real world behind having transfixed yourself into your own imagination.

So, because I didn't go to sleep until very early in the morning I didn't get up until 12ish. I actually woke thinking 'I don't want to open my eyes incase it's earlier than I think it is in the morning and it means I have to go MAKE myself go back to sleep' but I gazed over to Bethany lying on the blow-up bed and I poked her in the arm; she was awake. She said it was 12ish so we all got up and decided to get ready for the beach.

We wandered out of the house in skirts and shorts prepared for a sand filled afternoon instead we were met with a bitter wind and a cloudy day, okay so not an extremely cloudy day because the sun was out but clouds made the sun disappear which made it cold again... nooo.

But Bethany was extremely determined to get out onto the beach. We bought a make shift racket and a frisbee (in hindsight probably not a good idea since it was really windy) and powered on down to the beach. Once we got there... it was still cold. But we had loads of fun. We spelt our names out in the sand; played bat and ball; Emily and Bethany ventured down to the sea, I'll admit I was too cold to dip into sea, then we went for some chips on the sea front and played airhockey which Bethany won.

Hmm, I actually digressed quite a lot from what I was actually going to say. But what I was going to talk about is the infamous t-shirt. In fact more infamous than just the t-shirt is the white t-shirt! Everyone should have one. In fact I bought one from Primark the other day for get this... £2, they have long sleeved ones and short sleeved ones and vest top ones and strap ones hmm, they probably have strapless ones too but I didn't look. In actual fact I have about 3 white vest tops and now 1 white t-shirt. I mean it goes with everything I wear.

I think it's just because of the holidays that I seem to be watching so many films but this evening we've just finished watching another romcom 'How Do You Know' with Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd; he's actually quite good looking for his age, and is it just me or do his eyes just GLISTEN in every film that he is in. Strange right? It's one of those 'nice-guy-actually-comes-first' romcom's which is really cute; even if his competition is Owen Wilson, but you can't win them all.

To finish off the evening we are having a meal; 'super' late and then we are watching 'Laws of Attraction' a film Bethany decided we have to watch. Enjoy our second bank holiday and the beautiful Royal Wedding tomorrow.

Travel Tuesday

Evening (just).

I had to rush to my laptop these evening to get this post in before 00:00 on Wednesday. I am a tad OCD for that kinda thing.

We travelled to Sunderland today from Bradford. I scurried over with Emily and Bethany after work and I found a few blog apps on my iPhone. Some pretty interesting ones actually. One is like a mini travel blog where you post pictures of where you are and what you are doing and where you are going. Well, I thought it was fun.

So I usually post on Saturdays my travel post but since I travelled four hours up the country today I figured this could be a travel post. We went from Bradford to York, then from York to Sunderland.

I don't know if you've ever been on any of the Grand Central trains but they are seriously fun! On the tables on the trains there are game boards like chess/checkers and cluedo. We even saw a monopoly board, which didn't make much sense since there are no pieces to play with! Emily rummaged around her bag and purse and found 8 1p's and 8 2p's which her and Bethany played almost an hours game of checkers on. It was extremely funny to watch.

What was also funny to watch was Bethany's impressions of Michael McIntyre which provoked me to bring up YouTube videos of Michael McIntyre on my phone without my headphones on... We had some random people looking at us because of it, but he is hilarious.

We got to Sunderland and Emily said it would be a 10-15 minute walk to her house... turns out its actually a 25 minute walk to her house. It's weird seeing a city at night especially places that are usually very busy because all of a sudden they look like ghost towns and nobody seems to be about; we didn't even see any homeless people here this evening.

Emily has a nice house and I can't wait to go exploring some more tomorrow. I just want the weather to hold out. It seemed pretty cold out half an hour ago.

Have a good day tomorrow everyone! I'll be posting a link to my travel blog on my phone so we'll see how that goes! Oh I brought my camera but forgot my battery charger and we have run out of toilet roll!

Stuffed-Up Saturday!

Urgh,

You guys, I am SO FULL!

My mum wanted to eat her chocolate easter egg today so well, if she had permission so did we. And I've eaten one, well not yet one; but I'm getting there.

Then of course there is the beautiful Sunday/Saturday Roast dinner complete with stuffing and yorkshire puddings. YUM! But urgh. Full.

Today has been washing day. I tend to pile up my washing then do it all when I literally have to walk around in my PJ's to get it all done. Then I kinda get back on my clean-horse and do the washing every week, for about 2 weeks... then it piles up again. Anyone got any tips as to how I can keep on top of my washing?

Today was going to be a travel post but I haven't actually been anywhere. I have said before, I think very briefly in my first post, that I want to travel around West Yorkshire on my bus pass covering A-Z. I have thought of A- Addingham, Adel. But I can't think of anywhere beginning with J, X or Z.

I am going a bit further afield next week; on Tuesday evening Bethany, Emily and I head to Sunderland. I've never actually been there before. I was looking at Newcastle for a University years ago but I ended up going south. Anyhoo, I think I can add Sunderland to my list of places visited after the end of this week.

I am thinking of making a list of new places I visit throughout the year so when I look back in a years time tada! I'll have a nice long list.

Enjoy the sunshine tomorrow, but I think I smell rain!

Saturday Window Shop

Merry Evening!

Today was a bit of an interesting one; and a blessed one too. I had a little bit of money given to me yesterday and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it; buy a journal. I knew exactly where I was going to buy it from too. Only problem was, the shop is in Leeds. So I was going to trail all the way to Leeds to buy my journal and then travel all the way back. Needless to say I did it; and I brought my sister, Bethany, along for the ride.

Since neither of us had particularly any money I travelled into Bradford went to a pound shop and bought us a bottle of pop each for the day, then I exited and saw a beautiful cupcake shop; just by the poundshop in Kirkgate Centre (for those of you who live in Bradford) and I bought us a luxury cupcake each (they were beautiful, and demolished an hour or so later). Bethany had a little money to buy us a pasty from Greggs and we had our lunch. Simple but oh so effective.

Then we proceeded to Leeds and decided to go into every shop that we could be bothered; regardless of whether we could afford anything in there or not and took pictures of everything we would like to have if we were rich; we even sneaked a few piccys in Pandora, which is a beautiful shop! We went into Clas Ohlsen and took a catalogue.

We journeyed into Muji and smelt the candles and weird smelling soap and took a few pics in there.

I told Bethany we had to go into Kurt Geiger because she is a shoe person. We drooled over the chocolate in Hotel Chocolat especially now they have their Easter stuff out.

Hmmmm. We blew our senses fuse in Lush and took pictures of their Easter chick bath bombs and then over to Paperchase (where I bought my journal) and took pictures of a very over sized chick.

We taried over to 'Scribbler' which had some very nice cards and then over to Debenhams.

We met family back in Bradford and enjoyed a Starbucks. All in all, a very good day. I had exactly enough money to do exactly what I needed to do.

And my washing is still in a pile in the washing bin... Ooops.
